This is an actual ocular prosthetic that I wear 24/7.
I create this prosthetic display from a single reference image (you can see the shiny spot that didn’t maintain its colours due to the shiny surface of the prosthetic) and a clearer example can be published using multiple images to help give the viewer a more true-to-life representation of this blue-eyed ocular prosthetic device. Use your mouse or finger to move the device. NOTE: there is a “glossy” bug that renders the top/centre spot as either a clear/transparent spot or a black spot at the pupil/iris in the viewer. and artifacts that corrupt the roundness of the pupil.
By sharing this image, I am showing that creativity has some great tools. If you have an object you’d like represented in 3D on your website, let’s talk.
The above is an actual image of the prosthetic I wear since losing my eye to ocular melanoma (eye cancer) in 2011.
Many thanks and my heartfelt appreciation goes to Darren J. Hall & Associates, Prostheticare Inc, for continuing to provide me with these devices that improve my appearance and confidence every day.
